People from the counties of Bolesławiec, Lubań, Lwówek and Zgorzelec, as well as Česká Lípa, Liberec, Jablonec nad Nisou and Semity, may participate in the competitions. Both competitions—the art and photography competitions—focus on the natural and scenic qualities of the Polish-Czech Jizera Mountains. The competitions run from July 1 to October 31, 2006.
The art competition is open to children and young people aged 6–18, as well as adults. Only one independently created artwork may be submitted, in any technique and format.
The photography competition is open to children and young people aged 10–18, as well as adults. A maximum of three photographs may be submitted (black-and-white or color; minimum format: 13 × 18 cm). Photographs with a date stamp or those digitally altered will not be accepted.
The authors of the finest works will receive book prizes, and their works will be presented in November at a post-competition exhibition.
