“Tourism – a common cause” is the first major training and advisory project in Poland for the tourism industry. It will benefit entrepreneurs, local governments and organizations supporting tourism development. Its aim is to improve the competitiveness of the tourism industry by developing the skills and qualifications of management staff and employees.
The Polish Agency for Enterprise Development has prepared a comprehensive training and advisory project designed to fulfill three basic tasks:
- network cooperation – to improve the ability to create, develop and promote branded tourism products through networking, i.e. cooperation among various entities operating in one area
- tourism management – to expand knowledge of various industry issues related to tourism activities
- language training – to improve foreign-language skills.
The project is addressed to tourism enterprises, local government units, organizations of entrepreneurs and employers, organizations supporting entrepreneurship, and non-governmental organizations operating in the tourism sector. Both management staff and employees of the listed entities may participate in the training. At least four thousand people will take part, spending 300,000 hours in training rooms. The training is only partially paid for by participants; most of the costs are covered by the European Social Fund and the state budget.
Applications for participation in the training can be submitted by completing the application form on the project website, www.tws.org.pl, and sending it to the regional office in the relevant voivodeship by email or regular mail.
