The project was co-financed by the European Union from resources of the European Social Fund under POKL and implemented by the Powiatowe Centrum Pomocy Rodzinie. Participants in the educational initiatives met once again to receive special certificates confirming the knowledge and skills they had acquired.

– I am grateful for the opportunity to complete a vocational course. Under normal circumstances, I would not have been able to afford it. Unfortunately, everything costs money today, including additional education. Thanks to this project, I learned a new trade and met many kind people – says one of the project participants.

During the ceremonial meeting, representatives of the county authorities, Karol Stasik and Stanisław Chwojnicki, emphasised the importance of the initiative and the fact that it offered not only an opportunity to study or acquire a new profession, but also to foster strong integration among people who find it difficult to be socially open. Improving quality of life and strengthening faith in one’s own abilities are also very important – perhaps the most important – results of the efforts made by those determined to undertake this difficult path of development, as well as by the employees of the Powiatowe Centrum Pomocy Rodzinie. The people supported under the project included 36 people with disabilities and 10 children in foster care.
