On 11 June, a public debate devoted to the safety of residents of the Przylesie housing estate was held at School Complex No. 2 in Lubin. Representatives of local governments, a municipal police officer, representatives of housing cooperatives, and the residents themselves took part.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss and develop joint actions aimed at improving the safety of residents of our city. The police organized the debate to hear what problems people most often face and what expectations they have of the police, and above all to discuss safety and improving the living conditions of residents in this part of the city.
The debate was opened by Superintendent Przemysław Laskowski, deputy county police chief in Lubin. He presented the threats as well as ways to effectively minimize them. He emphasized the enormous importance that the safety of our city’s residents has for the police.
In the further part of the meeting, a short multimedia presentation was given concerning, among other things, the results of the work of Lubin police officers. Throughout the meeting, the need for public involvement in safety and for informing the police about every disturbing situation was emphasized, so that officers could arrive at the scene as quickly as possible and take effective action.
At the end, the deputy county police chief promised continued close cooperation with housing cooperatives and local governments, as well as consideration of the proposals put forward by those present.
