On Saturday, June 13, the Foster Families Picnic took place. Through you, I would like to thank the Powiatowe Centrum Pomocy Rodzinie in Bolesławiec for the fact that, thanks to this event, we had the opportunity to see my godson. He is my husband's brother, who was adopted as a 3-year-old child (today he is a brave 8-year-old boy). After more than five years of separation, we were able to hug him again.

We are also a foster family for a 14-year-old girl and my husband's sister, who also met her younger brother. Throughout all the time she did not see him, the girl was deeply affected by the lack of contact. There were no end to the emotions. The boy did not remember either me or his older sister, which did not surprise us. He had been taken away as a very young child. What shocked us was that Klaudiuszek behaved toward my husband as if they saw each other every day: he threw his arms around his neck and hugged him tightly. I stood there crying as his tiny arms tightened around my husband's neck. What a person feels at such a moment cannot be described.

I would like to thank Klaudiusz's adoptive parents very much for coming and giving us the chance to enjoy his presence. For our part, we will do everything we can to ensure that Klaudiuszek stays in contact with us. You are Wonderful! I would also like to thank the entire PCPR in Bolesławiec for organizing the picnic—thanks to you, separated siblings were able to see each other after years. Thank you, very much! Best regards, Paulina

One of the sponsors of the Family Picnic is NZOZ Provita, which provides prizes needed by the organizers to conduct games and competitions involving children and their guardians. This was Provita's second participation in the festival.

“I attended this festival, and we are grateful for the opportunity to support this initiative. The children and their guardians had a wonderful time, and the number of attractions prepared by the PCPR Bolesławiec staff was impressive,” says Ewa Mielacka from NZOZ Provita. “In 2014, we funded the main prize in an art competition—it was a tablet. I asked last year's winner how the prize was serving him; she replied that it was working well and had brought a lot of joy.” We also funded two gift vouchers for Provita,” Ewa Mielacka added.
