Natalka Korba is a young resident of Jagodzin (Węgliniec municipality) who fell ill with an aggressive form of leukemia (acute lymphoblastic leukemia) in February this year. From that moment, her parents began fighting for her life. All the residents of our municipality are trying to support them in this struggle.

We organized the “For Natalka” Concert on the day of the 13th Artistic Presentation of Children’s and Young People’s Creativity, “Music Knows No Borders.” It became an extension of the attractions for children and adults. Thanks to the professional stage and sound system, the invited groups performed willingly and free of charge: Pryma, KoRdon, Sweety Kitty and vocalist Anna Turska (Ange).

The greatest effort and commitment, however, came from the parents, who baked countless cakes, ran the sausage grill, and sold cakes and pea soup, as well as from the Koło Ludzi Aktywnych Pirat and Koło Gospodyń Wiejskich, which made and sold pierogi (5,000—and it turned out that even this number was too small, because they were mainly intended for schoolchildren, while some parents bought the remaining portion before noon—the money was intended for Natalka nonetheless). The evening’s attraction was a Fire Show led by Anny Jagiełło.

We raised PLN 4,160 for Natalka!

On behalf of Natalka, her parents, and us, the organizers, I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks for the tremendous help to the performing groups and vocalists, the parents, Koło Ludzi Aktywnych Pirat, Koło Gospodyń Wiejskich, Mr. Aleksander Boroń for the stage and sound system, Mr. Jan Bodzianny for the ponies, the sponsors, and everyone who came despite the rain to support a little girl. Heartfelt thanks!
