There was no shortage of attractions! First, under the slogan “Dance Makes Sense,” the participants of Canon and Canonki modern dance classes performed specially prepared routines.

During the “Great Painting” workshops, under the guidance of our instructors, the children’s imagination, expressed on canvas with paints, made it possible to create an original and unique picture. Interesting works were also created during workshops led by Grażyna Hanaf, author of the fairy tale “The Box-Girl.” An additional attraction was the opportunity to have a photograph taken inside the box from the fairy tale.

Children’s Day with BOK-MCC traditionally also included working with clay. There was no shortage of people eager to create their own pieces. During the “Clay Concert” workshops, small and tiny sculptural forms were created in the shapes of various animals, and the young artists also had the opportunity to learn the secrets of working with a potter’s wheel. The children also performed in the Mini Playback Show: they not only sang, but also recited their favorite poems. Each participant received a certificate and a sweet treat for their performance.

The longest queues formed for balloons, from which valiant swords and all kinds of animals were made, as well as for face painting, where the children could transform themselves into various characters at their request—colorful butterflies, adorable kittens or heroic pirates. The Bolesławiec firefighters also brought great joy to our little guests. They parked their vehicle at Piłsudski Square so that anyone interested could inspect it closely.

The young audience watched with great enthusiasm the outdoor performance “A Pirate Tale of Extraordinary Troubles,” presented by the actors of the IMPREZARIUM Cultural Promotion Studio. Breathlessly, the children followed the story of Ziutek (a naughty boy), who changed for the better after meeting an evil pirate. The audience also actively participated in the performance, which generated many positive emotions.

The final item on our program was the opening of the “Rainbow Worlds” exhibition. The ceramic bas-reliefs were made by 29 children during the winter holidays in classes at BOK-MCC. Lighting was additionally installed in eight of the completed works, creating a wonderful effect, and the young ceramic artists were delighted with the results of their work. They proudly collected their certificates from the class instructors, Edyta Orlińska and Matusz Grobelny.
