Children from the younger grades of primary schools, inspired by poems by Polish authors, painted, drew and even sculpted unique works depicting forest plant and animal species featured in selected poems. The texts of great Polish poets writing for children proved the most popular: Jan Brzechwa, Julian Tuwim and Maria Konopnicka.

Guests of the Municipal Public Library – Kornel Filipowicz, Deputy Mayor of Bolesławiec, Sergiusz Rzatkiewa, deputy head of the Bolesławiec Forest District, Katarzyna Graczyk, head of the Municipal Centre for Environmental Education and co-organiser of the competition, and Lesław Kasprzycki, chair of the jury, took part in a joint game of identifying the animals featured in the poems, about which S. Rzatkiewa and K. Graczyk spoke in an engaging and vivid way.
