Honored citizens of Bolesławiec – list of recipients

On the 25th anniversary of the first local government elections, certificates conferring the title “Honored Citizen of the City of Bolesławiec” were presented in the Forum cinema auditorium.

The Bolesławiec City Council honored the following individuals and institutions with the title “Honored Citizen of the City of Bolesławiec”:

Jelenia Góra Region Field Branch of NSZZ “Solidarity” in Bolesławiec. The history of Bolesławiec after 1990 cannot be understood without recognizing the role of the community centered around the Jelenia Góra Region Field Branch of NSZZ “Solidarity” in Bolesławiec. It was within this community that the foundations were laid on which our city’s local community was built, and over the past quarter-century many councilors and local government activists found active people there who were willing to cooperate and dedicated to the city and its residents
District Branch of the Polish Red Cross in Bolesławiec. It has operated in Bolesławiec since 1945. In 2010, the board of the District Branch of the Polish Red Cross in Bolesławiec received the Lower Silesian Key to Success award in the category of best nongovernmental organization in Lower Silesia
“Bolesławianka” Housing Cooperative – it has been part of Bolesławiec’s history for 50 years. Around 9,000 residents currently live in cooperative housing
