Police officers, while driving along one of the streets in Lubin, noticed a lane closed to traffic. At this section, employees of the company carrying out the renovation were directing alternating traffic. The officers decided to check whether the men directing traffic had the appropriate training and authorization.

The work of one of them raised no objections, but the other… not only had neither the required training nor authorization, he was also drunk. He had more than 1.5 per mille of alcohol in his system. He explained to the officers that he had only replaced his colleague for a moment.

The 42-year-old resident of Głogów County faces up to five years in prison.
