During the Mother’s Day Concert at the Orzeł Cultural Integration Centre, the large audience was welcomed with a poem about mothers by participants of the Theatre Studio. The amateurs, whose mentor is Urszula Frąszczak-Matyjewicz, announced the individual performers and enhanced the concert with poems and quotations referring to the theme of this special holiday.
The first of the music studios to perform was Mirosław Kuc’s Guitar Studio, presenting two pieces: “The Pink Panther Blues” and “Don’t Cry, Ewka”. The guitarists’ performance was enhanced by a multimedia presentation of remarkable photographs taken by participants of the Photography Studio, run by Michał Piaskowski and Urszula Frąszczak-Matyjewicz. Soloists from the Song Studio, practising under the guidance of Agata Pińczuk-Burdzy, also performed on stage: Bianka Pilitowska, Sara Paczosik, Oliwia Jakubowska, Nina Wąsik and Paulina Pastusiak, as well as participants of Barbara Lendzian’s Vocal Studio: Eliza Sondaj, Ola Gołoszewska, Michał Adamowski and Ada Knapik. The concert, which lasted more than an hour, ended with thunderous applause from the audience.
Meanwhile, BOK-MCC organised a concert for the parents of participants in the Bolesławiec Song and Dance Ensemble under the title “I Love You, Mum!”. The children took part in creating the programme and, together with instructor Agnieszka Podłaszczyk, prepared both dance and vocal presentations. At the end, everyone ceremonially sang “Sto lat”, while the children presented their mothers with handmade cards and flowers.
