A total of 103 young and talented artists from such towns as Zielona Góra, Kłodzko, Wrocław, Gdańsk, Korfantów, Bełchatów, Łambinowice, Jelenia Góra, Wałcz, Bielawa, Lubin and, of course, Legnica performed on the MCK stage. The participants presented their talents by singing two songs each, including one on an ecological theme.
When evaluating the young vocalists’ performances, the jury paid particular attention to the choice of repertoire, new songs and original lyrics, as well as the quality of the performance, vocal skills, musical qualities, the presentation of ecological issues and the overall artistic expression. The prizes and distinctions were presented to the winners by Legnica’s deputy mayor, Jadwiga Zienkiewicz.
“We are pleased that many participants are coming to Legnica again, while others are announcing their return to Ekopiosenka,” says MCK director Beata Kwiecień. “This is a good testament to the level of our festival.”
