Maciej Małkowski, deputy chairman of Ziemia Bolesławiecka, was moved by the support expressed by Ziemia’s leader, Jan Cołokidzi, under Ewa Lijewska-Małachowska’s report on the activities of BOK-MCC. We described the matter in the report “Cołokidzi and Oszczęda Supported Ewa Lijewska-Małachowska.”
In his public comment, Małkowski wrote, among other things, that he had called Jan Cołokidzi and learned from him that an acquaintance had presented him with the letter supporting the director of BOK-MCC. According to Małkowski’s account, the acquaintance “did not fully inform” Cołokidzi of the purpose and context in which Ziemia’s leader would sign the document. He also claimed that Cołokidzi did not know how his signature had been used.
We asked Ryszard Łoś, president of the Gazeta Polska Club, about the matter. He is the acquaintance described by Małkowski.
“I was the one who presented the BOK-MCC director’s letter to Jan Cołokidzi,” says Ryszard Łoś. “I familiarized him with its contents and asked whether he accepted and supported Ewa Lijewska-Małachowska’s way of managing the cultural center. Jan supported Ewa with full awareness of what he was signing. After Maciek Małkowski’s comment was published, I met with Jan Cołokidzi again, and he told me that what Maciek had written about their conversation was not true. Jan also told me that he would speak with Małkowski immediately to clarify the entire situation,” added the president of the Gazeta Polska Club.
We spoke with Jan Cołokidzi, who confirmed that he supports the director, Ewa Lijewska-Małachowska.
In a conversation with us, Maciej Małkowski stood by the content of his comment.
