The referee decided to award a penalty, which prompted whistles from the stands and protests from the BKS players. The referee's indication of where the foul had occurred caused controversy. At times, it seemed that the official handling the match could not cope with what was happening on the pitch. Several times, he failed to notice players controlling the ball with their hands.
In the 85th minute, a Łużyce player was shown a red card for a second yellow. From then on, playing with a one-player advantage, the BKS players tried at all costs to equalize. They succeeded in the final minute of stoppage time. Marcin Ciliński delivered a corner, and Andrzej Węgłowski converted the cross, scoring a beautiful header.
