May 2 is Flag Day. At noon, the white-and-red flag was ceremonially raised on a flagpole in Bolesławiec Market Square. Soldiers of the 23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment enhanced the ceremony.
In addition to Bolesławiec residents, the ceremony was attended by representatives of the city and county authorities, uniformed services, cultural institutions, schools and others. In a short speech, Deputy Mayor Iwona Mandżuk-Dudek thanked everyone for attending and invited them to the following day's celebrations marking the 224th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of May 3.
