While patrolling national road No. 30 (the Zgorzelec–Jelenia Góra route through Lubań), officers from the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters noticed an Audi whose driver was overtaking in a prohibited location. What is more, moments later the man decided to prevent another driver from overtaking, even though that driver had already begun the maneuver. By blocking the left lane, the Audi driver came dangerously close to causing an accident.
The officers checked the driver’s identity. He turned out to be a 31-year-old teacher at one of the secondary schools. It is worth noting that the man was transporting four students. For the flagrant violation of traffic regulations and safety rules, the officers confiscated the 31-year-old’s driving licence.
The case will be decided in court.
