On Thursday, someone set fire to grass near the Mrówka store on Kościuszki Street five times. First at 4:00 p.m., then at 6:00 p.m., and later at 9:00 p.m. Firefighters received another call at 11:00 p.m., and the final one just before midnight. Fortunately, these were small fires and did not threaten the store. However, they were not accidental ignitions; someone had clearly set the fires deliberately.
Firefighters are appealing to people to report it when they see someone deliberately starting a fire in an open area.
Between one and two fire service units took part in each of the five operations.
