On Sunday alone, firefighters extinguished three forest fires in Wierzbowa, Modła and Borówki. Two aircraft took part in extinguishing the fires, making three water drops, along with OSP Różyniec, OSP Gromadka, OSP Krzyżowa, OSP Trzebień and OSP Wierzbowa. Firefighters extinguished grass fires four times, including twice on Kraszewskiego Street.

On Monday before 6:00 a.m., two fires broke out near Tomaszów Bolesławiecki. One of them was caused by an accidentally started fire. Firefighting operations lasted more than four hours. A crew from JRG Bolesławiec and a crew from OSP Różyniec took part in them.

The weather is not helping firefighters, and meteorologists are forecasting further heat. A ban on entering forests is in effect throughout the county.
