The operation was carried out on April 10 in Lubin County (from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.). Its main aim was to improve safety for both pedestrians and other road users. Officers paid particular attention to pedestrians’ movement along sections of roads without designated sidewalks, pedestrians crossing in prohibited places, and compliance with traffic lights.

Police officers also responded to all behaviors by vehicle drivers that were contrary to the applicable traffic regulations and whose inappropriate conduct on the road exposed pedestrians to direct danger.

Officers recorded 118 offenses, issued 78 fines, cautioned 39 people, and prepared one application to the court.

The most common offenses committed by pedestrians were crossing the roadway in a prohibited place and crossing on a red light. Drivers, meanwhile, were fined for exceeding the speed limit and overtaking at a pedestrian crossing or directly before it.
