The St. Gianna Beretta Molla Specialist Family Counseling Center began operating in January this year. Every day (except weekends), specialists are on duty there in the afternoons, offering broadly understood assistance to families, married couples and people facing difficult situations in life.

Clients of the Counseling Center can receive free and completely confidential advice from a psychologist, mediator, family counselor, speech therapist, legal adviser, canon lawyer, pastoral minister, addiction and codependency therapist, pediatrician and midwife.

In addition, the Counseling Center organizes a wide variety of workshops and lectures on topics related to family relationships, solving problems faced by the modern family, and preventing crises and conflicts. Support groups are also held for people who, given their life circumstances, need not only professional assistance but also an ordinary conversation in a friendly atmosphere with others in a similar situation.

“The Counseling Center’s services are addressed to all residents of Lubin and the surrounding area, regardless of their faith or life situation,” emphasizes Agata Szymkowiak, the facility’s director. “It is extremely important to us to help as many people as possible, so that anyone who finds themselves in a difficult situation knows where they can turn.”

More information about the Counseling Center and the workshops, support groups and other activities it organizes can be found on the Diocese of Legnica website.
