The duty officer at the Jelenia Góra Municipal Police Headquarters received a telephone report from a resident of Jelenia Góra County, who informed the officer that she feared for her partner’s life. After an argument, the man left her apartment and threatened to commit suicide.
The woman informed the police officers of the place the man had probably gone to. There, the officers and the reporting woman began searching for him.
When the officers arrived at the scene, they saw a man standing on a bridge and threatening to commit suicide. He said that he had had enough of life and had therefore decided to take his own life. The police officers managed to persuade the desperate man to change his mind.
It turned out that the man was drunk. He was first placed under medical care and then taken to police custody, where he sobered up.
