For many generations, Nowogrodziec has been famous for its ceramic traditions, particularly pottery. For centuries, it competed with Bolesławiec for the title of the best ceramics centre. Thanks to the beginnings of pottery, Nowogrodziec became the “City of the Good Pot”.

Visitors could admire magnificent works by Nowogrodziec masters from the 18th and 19th centuries, as well as from the pre-war period. Private collectors and Anna Bober-Tubaj, director of the Museum of Ceramics in Bolesławiec, Anna Bober-Tubaj were involved in making this project possible.
The meeting organised to mark the end of the exhibition was attended by the mayor of Nowogrodziec, Robert Relich, the chairwoman of the Municipal Council in Nowogrodziec, Antonina Szelechowicz, together with councillor Piotr Nieratka, GCKiS director Eliza Szwed, the director of the Adam Mickiewicz Middle School, Józef Rosa, the director of the Bolesław Chrobry Primary School, Władysław Tomaszewski, Anna Bober-Tubaj, director of the Museum of Ceramics in Bolesławiec, together with staff, private collectors, and the owners of ceramic factories: Wiesława Seneszyn, Dariusz Sikorski and Kazimierz Gorczyński.

The mayor then thanked the meeting participants for their involvement in the social and cultural life of the local community and expressed his appreciation for Museum director Anna Bober-Tubaj and the private collectors, whose dedication and generosity made it possible to showcase the diversity of forms and richness of old ceramics from Nowogrodziec.
