These meetings were intended for young people considering their choice of career path. The sessions encouraged professional development in the ICT sector and the acquisition of digital skills needed in the labour market.
During the meeting, participants learned about the professions of the future connected with the ICT sector (that is, professions expected to be in high demand in the labour market); they learned how important new technologies and digital competences are in various professions, including traditional ones. They were also informed that so-called soft skills, namely communication skills, are particularly important in technical professions.
The students also tested the level of their digital competences useful in the labour market. During the meetings, tablets from the “Tablets in Your Library” project were used, and the IBUK e-book platform was presented, to which the Library had purchased access.
