The next Lubin Gospel Workshop is starting. Workshop rehearsals will take place on 11 and 12 April (Saturday and Sunday) at 9:00 a.m.. Wayne Ellington – an experienced professional vocalist and singing instructor. He studied vocal performance at Brunel University. He continues to deepen his passion and develop his singing technique and ability to pass his experience on to others. As a gospel music instructor, he collaborates with the London Community Gospel Choir. He has participated in projects with artists such as Blur, Tom Jones and Gloria Gaynor. He spent a great deal of time in Europe as an instructor and vocalist. In 2014, he performed as a soloist during the canonization of John Paul II. Ellington is the founder of the Manchester Sing Out Choir, which he has led for 10 years. He is currently the creator of another project, “Singing Society”, based on organizing gospel workshops and music classes in local communities in the United Kingdom and Europe.
Piotr Łopaciński – completed his vocal studies with Prof. Bogumiła Tarasiewicz-Ciesielska at the University of Zielona Góra, as well as with Zofia Grajnert, MA, and Karen Gibson (UK). He is a vocalist working in the genres of soul, R&B, gospel and pop. He performs not only in Poland but also abroad, including in London, Budapest and Germany. He has collaborated with vocalists such as Junior Robinson, Elaine Simpson and David Daniel. From 2007 to 2010, he led the Lubin Gospel Choir, as well as the “Alter – Ego” Gospel Ensemble in Zielona Góra. He was a vocal educator at Lubin’s Studio of Education Through Art and at the “Yamaha” Music School in Legnica. He currently works as an instructor of vocal technique at the School of Popular Music in Głogów. In 2012, 2013 and 2014, he took part in the Opernfestspiele festival in Bad Hersfeld, Germany. He also participated in recordings for the Polish version of the film “Happy Feet 2”.
The Final Charity Concert will take place on 12 April (Sunday) at 5:00 p.m. in the large hall of CK “Muza”. Tickets cost PLN 10. The organizers invite you: the “Realna Nadzieja” Association, the “Równe Szanse” Association, the Baptist Christian Church and the “Muza” Cultural Centre.
