The first accident occurred on 27 March this year (at approximately 5:25 a.m.) on Spółdzielcza Street in Jelenia Góra. According to the police’s preliminary findings, a 59-year-old Mercedes driver struck an 83-year-old woman crossing at a marked pedestrian crossing. The injured woman was taken to hospital, where she died as a result of her injuries.
The second accident took place on 29 March this year (at approximately 11:22 a.m.) on Lubańska Street in Jelenia Góra. According to the officers’ preliminary findings, a 61-year-old Renault Megane driver failed to give way to a 69-year-old moped rider travelling on the main road. The moped rider and the scooter passenger were taken to hospital. The people involved in the incident were sober.
