The meeting provided an opportunity to present to association members and guests the third part of the unique “Galicians and Serbs” series, created on the basis of stories, documents, source materials and photographs about the life histories of Polish settlers in Bosnia collected during many years of research. Jan Bujak spoke about his books and introduced the many attendees to the extraordinary fates of Poles whose destiny took them to Bosnian lands, where they lived from 1895 to 1946. In the warm atmosphere of the Balkans, participants had the opportunity to share their stories and talk with Mr Jan over cake.
The meeting was organized by the Association of Re-emigrants from Bosnia, Their Descendants and Friends and the Bolesławiec Cultural Centre – International Ceramics Centre, and is being held as part of the “Save from Oblivion” project, co-financed by the Municipality of Bolesławiec במסגרת an open call for proposals supporting the implementation of public tasks by non-governmental organizations.
