Officers from the Traffic Division of the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters, while patrolling national road no. 94, noticed a motorcycle rider who exceeded the speed limit by... almost 140 km/h. He turned out to be a 31-year-old resident of Jawor.
The incident took place in the Nowogrodziec municipality. The 31-year-old, riding a motorcycle on the road between Brzeźnik and Parzyce, a section where the speed limit is 90 km/h, was speeding at more than 229 km/h. After stopping the driver, the police officers—in connection with the flagrant violation of traffic regulations—did not issue him a ticket, but referred the case to court.
The officers established that earlier this month the man had already drastically exceeded the speed limit on a motorcycle. That case ended with “only” a ticket and 8 penalty points.
What is more, it turned out that all the penalty points the 31-year-old had managed to accumulate were—for those who are not surprised— for speeding.
The man now faces another 10 penalty points and a fine of up to PLN 5,000.
