Training sessions in the Brazilian martial art of Capoeira have begun at the Bolesławiec Cultural Centre. The classes are led by instructor Maluco da Favela, a student of the famous Capoeira master Gato and Professor Gatuno. The first organisational meeting took place on Saturday. Training will begin on Monday at 12:00 at the Pegaz club.
Capoeira is a martial art, game and dance. It was created by Brazilian slaves. It originated from the ritual dances of African tribes. Capoeira stands out from other martial arts through its dynamism and dance-like fluidity. Opponents' blows are blocked very rarely; instead, Capoeira offers many evasions and transitions.
