A 53-year-old resident of Zgorzelec reported to the County Police Headquarters in Zgorzelec, bringing a bundle of rolled-up banknotes found in front of the District Office building. They were lying loose on the pavement. The 53-year-old decided to find the owner of the lost money. When he was unable to do so, he brought the banknotes to the police station.

After about an hour, another man reported to the station, claiming that he had lost a certain sum of money near the office. Imagine his surprise when the police officers handed him his lost money. The man was visibly moved.

Let us recall that finding an item and keeping it is against the law and is classified as misappropriation.
