On Friday at 5:00 p.m., a match between the youth teams of Bobrzanie Bolesławiec and Dutch club BVC Bloemendaal will be played at the Majdan pitch in Bolesławice. The club from the Netherlands is not the first foreign club against which Bobrzanie’s juniors will play. In February, our footballers played a friendly match against Saxon FSV Budissa Bautzen. For the Bolesławiec club, the match against the Dutch team will be an opportunity to establish cooperation. The two clubs plan to organise similar matches, as well as trips and training camps, in the future.
The town and municipality of Bloemendaal, where Bobrzanie’s opponents come from, has 17,000 residents. The municipality is located in the northern Netherlands, 25 km west of Amsterdam. BVC Bloemendaal operates exclusively a football section; its first team plays in the Dutch third division. The visiting team has played in its current lineup for a year, and some of the players are graduates of famous Dutch football academies. The team’s average age is just 19.
