The car is worth PLN 42,000. Half was financed from the state budget, while the mayors of the aforementioned municipalities contributed the remainder.
The symbolic handover took place on 10 March at the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra, at 43 Nowowiejska Street.
The vehicle was purchased as part of a programme implemented by the Ministry of Justice and the National Police Headquarters in Warsaw, whose aim is to improve residents’ safety. Under the programme, half of the funds for purchasing equipment come from the state budget, while the other half is financed from local government budgets.
As part of the programme, a Hyundai vehicle was delivered to the Jelenia Góra Municipal Police Headquarters. It will be used by community police officers from Police Station I, who serve the municipalities of Janowice Wielkie and Jeżów Sudecki.
The mayors of these municipalities, Kamil Kowalski and Edward Dudek, contributed half of the funds needed to purchase the Hyundai.
