A meeting with MP Bogdan Zdrojewski was held on Tuesday in the Council Chamber of Bolesławiec Town Hall. Approximately 30 people attended the meeting. Bogdan Zdrojewski spoke about the upcoming local elections and the activities of Civic Platform in the current Sejm. He advised voters to support candidates with specific goals to accomplish in the local elections.
The MP devoted a large part of his speech to the policies of Civic Platform. Among other things, he mentioned the flat tax advocated by Civic Platform as “fair to all taxpayers.” He explained that 97% of people currently pay one, the lowest tax, while also maintaining the administrative apparatus. According to Zdrojewski, after the introduction of a flat tax, most people would pay less tax than they do currently, and the tax system would be significantly simplified. Tax reliefs would also disappear, but so would PIT forms.
Later in the meeting, Bogdan Zdrojewski spoke about healthcare and social security reform, military education, the problems of the Polish army, and problems resulting from the dissolution of the Military Information Services. The politician criticized the ruling coalition’s actions in the aforementioned areas. According to Zdrojewski, the current government is replacing “foundations with substitutes.” This means that good ideas are being replaced with ideas similar to them, but whose ultimate effects will be bad for Poland. Bogdan Zdrojewski’s meeting with the residents of Bolesławiec lasted approximately an hour and a half.
