Although April 26 is still some time away, Regional Sports Center is already inviting all running enthusiasts to the second Papal Run, dedicated to commemorating the first anniversary of the canonization of Pope John Paul II. The event is being held under the patronage of the Mayor of Lubin, the starosta of Lubin County, and the head of Lubin Municipality.
Both experienced runners and beginners may take part in the event. The II Papal Run will start on April 26 at 6:18 p.m. from the town hall in Lubin, with the finish at the Church of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. The route runs through the city streets and is 5,400 m long.
As in the previous year, additional races will be held: a preschoolers’ race over 200 m and a school race over 600 m.
Anyone may participate in the main race, provided they complete a declaration confirming their fitness to run. Participants in the Papal Run will receive race packages containing a bib number, chip, safety pins, and a race T-shirt.
Throughout the race, all participants are required to wear the T-shirt and bib number received in their packages. This year’s entry fee is PLN 20 and must be paid to the following account: BGK 13 1130 1033 0018 8163 6120 0001, Regional Sports Center Sp. z o.o., ul.
