The playground on Tyrankiewiczów Street was built starting last autumn. Residents have been able to use it for several months. Unfortunately, it seems that nobody is inspecting the playground.
A concerned reader wrote to our editorial office:
I have been observing the playground in Waryński Park for several days. It was built at very high cost and is beginning to fall apart. The worst thing is that nobody is removing the defects. In one of the photos, you can see a pin that has come out; in another, a bolt that has snapped.
We asked the city’s press spokesperson, Agnieszka Gergont, for an explanation. Here is the response:
The playground contractor, SATERNUS Producent i dystrybutor urządzeń na place zabaw, carried out a comprehensive inspection of our playground last week. The President of the SATERNUS Group informed us that all identified defects and faults would be removed by 12 March 2015.
The playground was designed by PPU “Wood-Play”. The main contractor was Saternus Distribution from Chorzów. The investment cost PLN 1,749,835. The funds came from the budget of the City of Bolesławiec.
