The still painful historical subject will be presented by Roman Lorenz and Robert Żeleźny, the authors of an article published in volume 35 of “Legnica Sketches,” entitled “Władysław Dybowski »Przemski« (1892–1947), Deputy Mayor of Legnica.”

Roman Lorenz is a member of the Polish Historical Society and a native of the Eastern Borderlands. He popularizes the culture of the Borderlands and was one of the initiators of the partnership between Legnica and the Ukrainian city of Drohobych. He is a witness to history and an enthusiast of the historical policy of Poland and neighboring countries. As he says, he inherited this passion from his father, a hero of the struggle to restore Poland’s independence in 1918. Robert Żeleźny holds a doctorate in the humanities and is a member of the Polish Historical Society and the Society of Friends of Learning in Legnica.

In several Legnica schools, the subject of the Cursed Soldiers will be addressed during history lessons, in school radio broadcasts, at exhibitions and on wall newspapers.

In addition, I LO will hold a week-long review of films devoted to the Cursed Soldiers during homeroom lessons, while the Complex of General Education Schools No. 3 has scheduled the ceremonial opening of a Memorial Room and the unveiling of a plaque commemorating the Home Army for March 4 at 12:00.
