Treasures of the Spirit of the Mountains at the Kowary City Tradition House

The Karkonosze Mountains have finally gained their own brand. The Karkonosze Local Brand is a special certificate confirming the local character, quality, traditional production methods and natural origin of the raw materials used in production.

The Karkonosze Local Brand certificate is awarded in two categories – tourist services and local products and goods. There are already three such certificates in Kowary.

They were awarded to local artists: Krystyna Matusiak, Beata Grzesiak, and the duo Barbara Sokołowska and Alina Pawłowska. Would you like to learn more? Visit the City Tradition House, run by the Kowary Enthusiasts Association (Kowary, 1 Górnicza Street).

The association presents artists there and provides information about where to buy sweet gingerbread, preserves and honey, as well as prints, Karkonosze angels, jewellery, illustrated rhymes made with leaf collages, fridge magnets, ceramics and more.

“We invite you to visit the City Tradition House on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Admission is free,” representatives of the association say.
