The nationwide art competition “Magic of Plants – Tree,” organized by MDK Śródmieście Wrocław, received a record number of entries—4,349 from 405 schools and educational institutions.
The jury (comprising: Małgorzata Warlikowska, Adam Chmielowiec, Rafał Kaufhold, Karolina Kołakowska, Rafał Chojnacki, Sebastian Łubiński, Joanna Sekuła, Ewa Klara Kołakowska and Anna Szuleszko) awarded 30 works and gave distinctions to 70.
The winners and distinguished participants included students from MDK Lubin. Kacper Sawicki and Magda Sieradzka received awards in the sculpture and relief category, while Faustyna Jarosińska received a distinction in the painting category. Student of the Social Schools Complex in Lubin, Michał Drążek, received a distinction in the sculpture and relief category.
The post-competition exhibition can be viewed until 9 March at the Young Artists’ Visual Arts Gallery in Wrocław.
