Around 400 people attended the Film Evening organized by Bolesławiec Cultural Centre on Thursday. Three productions were presented: "Gigant" by Royal Flush Entertainment, "Sen" by Przemysław Filipowicz and "Tu też może być Londyn", produced by BOK.

"Gigant" and "Sen" had previously been shown at the OFF cinema festival in Bolesławiec. The first film was also broadcast by Telewizja Polska on TVP 2. "Tu też może być Londyn" was part of the major "Kreator" project carried out by BOK. The project aimed to provide broadly understood theoretical film education (lectures as part of the Film Discussion Club and workshops) as well as practical education (making a film). It sought to challenge the stereotype that nothing happens in a small town and to create a new space for young people's activities. Nearly 50 people took part in making the film, including students from the film class at I Liceum Ogólnokształcące and people selected through casting.

The screenplay for "Tu też może być Londyn" was divided into three episodes. Each tells the story of one couple at a crucial moment in their relationship. The city itself also had a role in the film—its character and atmosphere. During filming, Bolesława Prusa Street was closed for an hour while shots were taken from a lifting platform. The entire operation was possible thanks to the assistance of the Bolesławiec police.

"I am glad that the project was completed and that we managed to involve young people. It was the first time that such a combination of theory and practice had succeeded," says Grażyna Ferensowicz, the coordinator representing Bolesławiec Cultural Centre. "The most important part of the project was the workshops, where young people learned, among other things, what casting looks like, how an actor is prepared for a shoot, how a film is made and what equipment is necessary on set," adds Grażyna Ferensowicz.
