On Friday, the Bolesławiec Days began. A few minutes after 1 p.m., a procession of preschool children set off from the Town Hall. The children were accompanied by their parents, preschool teachers and city authorities. The preschoolers’ parade went from the market square to Priest Popiełuszko Square. At 2 p.m., the concert “For You, Mom...” began. On the occasion of Mother’s Day, children from Bolesławiec preschools presented artistic programs. There were also competitions, games and activities.
The concert by Majka Jeżowska proved to be great fun for the youngest attendees. The artist, known to several generations, sang her greatest hits. Majka Jeżowska effectively invited children in the audience to join in the fun. There was dancing and prize competitions. The singer handed out her posters and CDs. After the performance, she signed autographs for a long time.
After Majka Jeżowska’s performance, big bands took the stage. First, an orchestra from Germany performed. It was followed by the Big Band of the State Music School in Bolesławiec.
In the evening, the band Sumptuastic performed. Hundreds of people came to the Bolesławiec group’s concert.
The audience had a wonderful time. The band performed older and newer songs. They also played and sang the song “I’m Heading Out on the Road for the Cup.” The song is taking part in the “Hit na mundial” competition. After the concert, a surprise awaited the musicians. To mark Sumptuastic’s fifth anniversary of performing professionally, the band received a five-tier cake. The sweet gift was presented by Andrzej Laudański, owner of Cukiernia Nova.
