Officers from KMP in Legnica detained a 38-year-old man. In his car and garage, the officers found 960 packs of cigarettes without Polish excise-duty markings. If the illegal tobacco had reached the market, the state treasury could have lost PLN 15,000.
The detainee explained that he had intended to sell the cigarettes to supplement his income. The 38-year-old now faces up to three years in prison.
