Over the past 12 months, 14 of Zawidów’s youngest citizens collected their first identity cards. And 40 babies were born. Surprisingly, boys dominated the list. Examples of names given to girls include Julita, Nina, Ofelia, Aniela, Lena and Hanna, while boys were given names such as Leon, Marcel, Adam, Wojciech, Franciszek and Gabriel.
Last year, Hania and Lena topped the “official name charts.” Among boys, Leon and Marcel led the way.
The office registered 21 marriage certificates, including 11 civil marriages and 9 religious marriages. One couple married outside the country, and this fact was recorded in the Zawidów civil status registers through the so-called transcription of the certificate.
The registers maintained by the Zawidów office show that young couples choosing to marry most often select—hardly a surprise—months containing the letter “r.” The head of the Civil Registry Office conducted the most weddings in August. July and February were the least popular.
