The exhibition “On the Way – Together with Me” is associated with the 40th anniversary of the artistic and academic work of Professor Piotr Błażejewski. It is organized by the Culture and Art Centre in Wrocław, the Lower Silesian Art Festival and the Gallery of Art in Legnica.
Piotr Błażejewski is a painter and educator who has been associated with Wrocław’s artistic and academic community for 40 years. He graduated from Wrocław’s PWSSP (now the Academy of Fine Arts). He received his diploma in 1975. He began teaching at his alma mater immediately after graduating. He is currently a full professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław. He has supervised approximately 100 master’s diplomas in painting. Since 2000, he has also worked at the Institute of Landscape Architecture of the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences.
Błażejewski is one of the most important painters of Wrocław structuralism. He creates geometric abstraction and works in series. The artist has participated in approximately 250 exhibitions in Poland and abroad. He has won awards several times in prestigious painting competitions.
