The competition has been decided. We received 100 emails and drew 20 winners. The calendars will be collected by: Grzegorz Siwek, Monika Walera, Maria Niewiadoma, Katarzyna Fąfara, Bartosz Gajda, Grażyna Kwiatkowska, Barbara Dryjska, Łukasz Król, Justyna Paszek, Barbara Borysiewicz, Mateusz Furmanek, Iza Jankowska, Sławomir Zimkiewicz, Małgorzata Duru, Karol Lisiecki, Eliza Makiej, Piotr Sarysz, Anna Potoczniak, Radosław Popieliński and Joanna Regner.
On Thursday, 29 January, prizes were presented in the “New Face of Bolesławiec – Culture, Sport, Economy” photography competition. The photography competition was organized by the “Camera” Photographic Association and held under the patronage of Bolesławiec Mayor Piotr Roman.
“The jury had a difficult task choosing twelve photographs from more than a hundred entries,” said city secretary Jerzy Zieliński at the award ceremony. “But we will not complain if next year we have to choose from a thousand photographs.”
The jury awarded first place to Krzysztof Jędrzejczyk, second place to Paweł Kijewski, and third place to Bartosz Witaszczyk. Six people received honorable mentions: Mariusz Ryż, Andrzej Pękała, Magda Konieczna, Paweł Kośliński, Grzegorz Sidorowicz and Łukasz Nadwodny.
The event included a post-competition exhibition, and participants and guests received a 2015 city calendar featuring the winning entries. The idea behind the competition was to show, through photography, the charm of Bolesławiec, interesting people, unusual events, and scenes from everyday life, including cultural, sporting and economic events organized in our city.
