The ceremony for awarding the “Meritorious for Polish Culture Gloria Artis” medal to Janina Bany-Kozłowska is being hosted by Bolesławiec Mayor Piotr Roman and the organizers: the Museum of Ceramics in Bolesławiec, the Bolesławiec Enthusiasts’ Society, Zakłady Ceramiczne “Bolesławiec” Sp. z o.o., the Bolesławiec Urban Municipality and the Bolesławiec Cultural Centre–International Ceramics Centre.

The medal ceremony will take place on Friday, 30 January, at 4:00 p.m. at the “Orzeł” Cultural Integration Centre. The “Meritorious for Polish Culture Gloria Artis” medal will be presented by Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Economy Ilona Antoniszyn-Klik.

Immediately after the ceremony, the opening of the monographic exhibition of Janina Bany-Kozłowska’s works, “Harmony of Form”, will be held at the Museum of Ceramics at 14 Kutuzowa Street. The exhibition has been prepared from the Museum’s collections and the private collection of Janina and Mieczysław Kozłowski. It will feature both functional ceramics, from the oldest now-iconic designs to the latest proposals, and artistic sculptural forms.
