Over the past few days, sports and recreational events have been taking place. On Saturday, the Euroregional Show-Jumping Competition was held on the boulevard along the Bóbr River. Many teams from across the country came to Bolesławiec. Competitions of varying levels of difficulty were held. Mściwoj Kiecoń of WKS Nysa Gubin won first place in Class N. The following day, the boulevard along the Bóbr turned into a Western town. This was all thanks to the “Country&Western” festival. That day featured Native American dances, rituals and food, as well as music, customs and reenactments referring to the period of the American Civil War. The festival organizers provided many attractions. Visitors could try their hand at various competitions, including archery, hat and horseshoe throwing, and gold panning. During the honorary start of the Competition for the Title of the Best Gold Prospector in the Nysa Euroregion, Bolesławiec mayor Piotr Roman and his Czech counterpart from the Nysa Euroregion, Jirzi Pazourek, shared first place. Country bands made the time more enjoyable for everyone attending the Western festival.
