BOK-MCC’s winter holiday programme for children and young people is proving hugely popular. Most of the proposed free activities are already full, but the programme is so extensive that everyone interested should find something for themselves.

  • At the BOK-MCC building at pl. Piłsudskiego, an interesting performing arts workshop for young people, “Is It Art?”, will be held. It will be led by Martyna Woźnica, originally from Bolesławiec and a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław. The artist will introduce participants to the subject of performance art and answer the question of what it is and how it differs from a happening or a theatre performance. This is one of the first attempts to introduce this type of art into Bolesławiec’s cultural life. Participants will become not only artists but also the subject of an artwork that will interact with its surroundings in a public space. We warmly invite young people aged 14 to 19 who want to spend their free time creatively and in an unconventional way. The classes will take place on 29 and 30 January from 10:00 to 13:00.
  • Girls aged 13–17 are encouraged to take part in graceful oriental dance workshops led by Alicja Kowal on 20 and 27 January at 13:00.

At CIK Orzeł at 17 Chopina Street, places are still available in the film, photography, theatre and vocal studios. Young people aged 12 and over will learn the principles of filmmaking and post-production during the “No to CIK! Się kreci” classes led by Michał Szwed. The workshops will take place on 20, 23, 27 and 30 January from 16:00 to 18:00.
Fans of the “silver screen” will meet for photography classes led by Urszula Frąszczak-Matyjewicz and Michał Piaskowski on 20–22, 25 and 29 January.

  • Children aged 9 and over, young people and even adults will learn the secrets of theatre during classes led by Urszula Frąszczak-Matyjewicz in the second week of the winter holidays, on 26–28 January from 12:00 to 16:00.
  • Everyone wishing to develop their vocal skills during workshops led by Agata Pińczuk-Burdzy will learn the most beautiful songs from fairy tales and musicals. Classes are held in two groups: for children aged 8–12 and young people aged 14 and over, on 19–23 and 26–28 January.

Registration for all workshops is available at the BOK-MCC Tourist and Cultural Information Point, tel. 75 645 32 90.

Participants in the CIK Orzeł classes will present the skills they acquired during the winter holidays to a wider audience on 30 January at 18:00 at CIK Orzeł. Admission is free. We invite you.
