The procession brought together many residents, visitors, local government officials, as well as children and young people dressed as knights, warriors, ladies-in-waiting, angels, devils and shepherds.
The celebration began on January 6 at 1:00 p.m. at Marienplatz in Goerlitz, where participants adorned their heads with crowns. The procession crossed the Old Town Bridge and then continued along Daszyńskiego, Domańskiego, Partyzantów and Wolności streets. It stopped at the Municipal Cultural Centre, where a nativity scene had been set up. The march through the streets alternated with performances of scenes from the Nativity play prepared by middle- and high-school students. The joint carol singing was also accompanied by the Representative Orchestra of the Turów Power Plant.
The joint celebration of the Feast of the Epiphany won the hearts of residents of Zgorzelec, Goerlitz and the surrounding area for the second time. The next edition will take place in a year.
