As part of the workshops, the institution offers a series of intensive training sessions aimed at familiarizing participants with the basics of playing classical guitar and developing solo/chord-playing technique on popular/acoustic and electric guitar.

During the sessions, participants will learn, among other things:

  • basic solo-playing techniques (apoyando, tirando) and chord-playing techniques (easy chord shapes, effective accompaniment methods (arpeggio, ragtime accompaniment), and universal rhythms (folk, Charleston, rumba, Mexican), performed on guitar and percussion instruments
  • the principles of creating chord shapes from individual strings and standard major and minor chord shapes on the treble strings.

For more advanced and interested participants, the program includes learning accompaniments to current hits and musical standards, as well as well-known popular, tourist, scout and other songs.

The sessions are intended both for regular participants of the MDK music studio and for all other interested children and young people from the city, municipality and Lubin County.

The sessions are held individually or in groups of two or three (depending on the number of participants) from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m..

The guitar workshops will take place on:

  • January 19–23
  • January 26–30.
