The organizers have extended the voting deadline in the regional stage of the competition to Friday, January 9, 2015, until 12:00 p.m. Let’s cast even more votes for our Legnica illumination!

This is already the sixth edition of the competition for the most beautiful illuminations in Poland. In the previous edition, the title was won by Bielsko-Biała. Legnica, in turn, won the title of the most beautifully illuminated city in Lower Silesia in last year’s competition. In two stages of the competition, the most beautiful cities in each voivodeship and then throughout Poland will be selected. The second voting stage will last until January 23, 2015. A record number of more than 220 cities have entered the current edition of the competition.

The regional stage of the competition will select cities from each voivodeship that will receive the titles of the Most Beautifully Festively Illuminated City in the voivodeship. In addition, Energa will fund energy-efficient household appliances in each region, which will be donated to a charitable cause selected by the winning town. Then, internet users will choose the winner of the national stage from among the 16 regional-stage winners—the city with the most beautiful festive illumination in Poland. Along with the title of the Most Beautifully Festively Illuminated City in Poland, it will receive household appliances worth PLN 10,000 from the Energa Group, which it will donate to a charitable cause of its choice.

Internet users can cast their votes in both stages of the competition using dedicated forms on regional media websites or through the Facebook application. Fans can also support the cities by sending text messages.

In addition to the nationwide city competition, the “Shine with Energa” competition also includes a competition for the best-decorated shopping gallery (as many as 80 have entered) and a photography competition for individuals. All the details can be found on www.swiecsie.pl.
