As in previous years, the Zgorzelec finale, jointly organized by the Municipal Cultural Centre and the city orchestra committee, will take place at CHR Plaza on Armii Krajowej Street. The finale will be held on Sunday, 11 January.
The event will begin as early as 2:00 p.m.. There will be artistic performances, orchestra stalls selling baked goods and handicrafts, as well as an auction of items donated to support the orchestra. And here, of course, we have a request for all readers and residents of Zgorzelec to donate items for the orchestra auctions. They can be left at the secretariat of the Municipal Cultural Centre in Zgorzelec at 1 Parkowa Street.
We will be grateful for everything, but we appeal to donors to submit items for auction that have a chance of finding buyers.
The Municipal Public Library traditionally also joins in organizing the finale. It invites everyone who has kept books past their due date to return them without a penalty. The condition is a donation to the WOŚP collection box.
As part of the finale, the library is also preparing, among other things, a meeting entitled “Literature with Heart” (12:00–14:00 at the MBP headquarters at Bohaterów Getta Street), as well as a book fair and a raffle at CHR Plaza.
